Long before Thai food became familiar in Bozeman, Rice Thai Cuisine was quietly introducing locals to the vibrant flavors of Thailand — one dish at a time. Founded in 2012, Rice is proud to be one of the oldest and longest-standing Thai restaurants in Bozeman, bringing not only authentic food, but a cultural experience to the community.
Thai Chefs with World-Class Experience
At Rice, every dish is prepared by Thai chefs who specialize in Thai cuisine — many of whom have trained and worked in five-star hotels, famous local Thai restaurants, and international Thai kitchens around the world. Their experience and passion ensure every curry, stir-fry, and appetizer is full of authentic flavor and made with great care.
We pride ourselves on maintaining the heart of traditional Thai cooking — balancing sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavors to create dishes that feel just like home.

Teaching Bozeman Thai — One Dish at a Time
When Rice Thai opened its doors in 2012, Thai cuisine was still new to many people in Bozeman. We quickly saw that we weren’t just serving food — we were introducing a new culture and helping our guests experience Thailand through every dish. From the beginning, we chose to keep the original Thai names on our menu, like Pad Kra Prow (basil stir-fry), Gaeng Kiew Wan (green curry), Pad Priew Wan (sweet and sour stir-fry), and Som Tum (papaya salad). At first, customers would ask how to say the names or what they meant. Over time, they began ordering them confidently, even recommending their favorites to friends.
Many had never heard of Panaeng curry, Tom Kha Gai (coconut chicken soup), or Nam Tok (spicy beef salad), but once they tried them, they became part of their regular go-to meals. It’s been a joy to watch our community learn about Thai ingredients, flavors, and cooking styles — not through lectures or instruction, but through warm service, great food, and genuine curiosity.
To us, “teaching” Bozeman about Thai food has always meant sharing something authentic — creating a space where every dish tells a story, and every visit feels like a journey into something new and delicious.
Thai Iced Tea & Black Sticky Rice: New Flavors, New Fans
When we first served Thai iced tea, many guests had never heard of it. Now, it’s a go-to favorite — sweet, creamy, and refreshing. Another beloved discovery has been our black sticky rice pudding, served warm with coconut sauce. This comforting dessert is a favorite among those looking to try something traditional and uniquely Thai.
❤️ Thank You, Bozeman

Thank you for letting us share our food, our culture, and our story with you. We’re excited to keep bringing you the flavors of Thailand for many years to come.
